Our
Story
Our journey started in the halls of a fashion institute, where life brought us together as colleagues teaching fashion design and pattern making at Esmod French Fashion Institute in Dubai. What started off as a professional connection soon evolved into something much more profound.
We bonded in the teachers break room over our shared love of music and deep conversations about creativity, expression, and the never-ending possibilities of the world around us. We took this connection outside of the “professional environment” and started hanging out and embracing the laughter and inspiration we gave each other.
When the global pandemic hit, our friendship grew stronger, hanging out at each other place fueled by late-night conversations and shared dreams of the future. Constantly motivating each other. As life unfolded, Yalda’s path led her to Canada, our hangouts went from the couch to zoom calls, maintaining our bond across continents.
Then, an opportunity arose for us to reunite professionally, this time online at a global fashion consultancy. It felt like the universe had aligned us once again.
Throughout the 2 years we witnessed each other’s work ethic and how we are with the clients, how we handle challenges, our mutual respect and camaraderie deepened, encouraging our belief in our vision.
We both share a passion for fashion, and we have a desire to make a positive impact in the industry, we knew it’s time for us to take the leap and start a new chapter together. With our values!
And so, Moda Minds was born –a testament to the power of friendship, authenticity, and the belief that together we can create something remarkable. Embracing our unique styles and complementary skills, we discovered the power of collaboration. Supporting each other every step of the way, celebrating our differences, and combing our strengths.
