Hi! I'm Yalda, a creative soul based in Canada. Growing up, I've always been a part of the creative world, involved in art, dance, and music. The love of creative flow & expressionism have always been my driving force. Although I initially aimed to pursue studies in Visual Communications and Fine Arts, life took me on a different path, leading me to the world of Fashion Design. Transforming garments into a form of self-expression became my forte, and throughout my university journey, my style evolved towards costume design and storytelling, culminating in the prestigious Creator award upon graduation. Crafting & creating are my true passions. Whether channeling my imagination into personal projects or bringing clients' visions to life, every creation holds a special meaning to me. My fashion journey commenced at a manufacturing firm in Dubai, where I initially joined as a Sales Manager, leveraging my extensive sales experience. Fate and my skills intervened, propelling me to the helm of the design department, embarking on countless adventures in the fashion industry. Guiding local designers through their creative processes & sharing my expertise as a fashion design instructor at Esmod Fashion Institute were some of the highlights of my career. Beyond fashion, I'm starting my own brand Activate with YD, that aims to bring a spark of joy & motivation in people’s lives. I hold art workshops to ignite creativity in others, and have a love for decorating event spaces such as wellness retreats. Outside of work you'll find me submerged in nature or on the dance floor at a festival wearing my handmade costumes and covered in glitter expressing my love for art and design.
